taylor going to wigan, amor staying at wakey or going to saints. Seems we haven't had much luck with our prop recruitment. Johnson looks OK but doesn't look like he'll ever be top class to me

I can't believe that there isn't some young Tongan/ Samoan Animal of a prop we can bring over like we did with Sam Moa. Then again, the club might have something sorted that the "in the knowers" (who have gone quiet) don't know about!?!

As it stands O Meley is currently a better forward than Taylor and Amor, so we win short term, gives ind a another year to find a replacement and devlope two excellent prospects in Green and Bowden.

More worried about halfback than prop at the moment.

Why doesn't anybody believe PG when he says Pitts will play prop? Nobody ever seems to mention him.

I don't doubt he will, just that he'll be in the dowes mould and won't replace what we have leaving. As it stands, we're losing manu and moa but haven't really replaced their size or impact

Pitts has far better hands than Dowes, like Watts he can bend the line and get an offload away. He certainly needs to put on some bulk in the off season, but that should be possible.
Moa and (more so) Manu are big losses for us, but I think this will be minimised by a change in playing style.

Don,t you consider Ellis an adequate replacement for one of them?

Definitely not! Manu was lethal in attack, and Moa was a prop that dented the defensive line and had great offloads. Ellis is a hard working second rower that will top the tackle count, similar to how Fitz played for us.
