People need to remember that amor is a player the club are looking to sign on top of the players already signed.
Gentle could see him as a squad player not a starting 17 player. I don't think anyone can argue that he wouldn't be a useful squad player next season!!

I'd be disappointed if our 4 first choice props next season were lynch, watts, amour and johnson as I don't think there would be enough impact in there for me but gentle wanted paea so presumably he feels there is some need for size and impact in there.
Whatever happens with recruitment, the club are moving in the right direction. Maybe pearson should keep his cards closer to his chest on occassion but I'd rather know too much than too little. Also, reading the article on the club website, it looks as though the 7 signed included ellis, arundell, watts and pitts, not those plus 7 more as some were claiming.
Doesn't look likely that taylor is coming though as I doubt we'll sign taylor, amour and johnson

You bear me to it on Aspinwall and Martin. Their paying style hasn't changed yet some seem to think it Gentle that improved them.
More like the preconceived poor reputation some fans gave to these players in the first place was misguided.
I had my doubts about McGoldrick but it appears his playing ability is not (or ever has been) a problem, it was the perception that he was a cheap shot penalty machine. Something which he has not been in his time at Hull. |
