Certainly not on many peoples wish list of players before signing for us but has surely done enough for the team to be at least given a bit more respect than the above and in many fans views including mine would be a worthwhile addition to our 2013 squad.

Given the comments AP has made and some of the names being banded about now, people will have evry right to question some of the signings, players like McDonnell/Holdsworth aren't exactly top drawer players, the one thing we will be able to say next season is it is totally Gentle's team, and the value of the whole may be greater than the sum of it's parts, we can but hope.

Not every player in every team is top draw though, Arundel isn't a top draw player, but PG sees something in him to warrant a long contract and over the years could become a top draw centre, Gareth Ellis is going to be the biggest transfer in Super League and dare say Rangi Chase will be second



On the rumours thread someone said that they had hear Gentle would have chosen McDonnell over Mckinnon, he must see something in Shannon that we don't.

PG has already proved with Aspi and Goldie etc that he knows what he is doing and sees clearly the shape and depth of a team before we do and is clearly a VERY shrewd operator, I am sure there will be a few WTFs going around when some are announced but so far this dude has done ok in my book and we should then go with his rhythm and plan for the future and see how it all pans out next year , I am also sure that PG knows the gaffer doesnt suffer fools so will have thought long and hard with Bomber over who we want and i feel sure we will be a team to recon with next year !!
I think Holdsworth is classy but know little about Mc donnel TBH
