Linked on that page is extended highlights of the 82 tour match, that was some game, I think we might have gone in at half time in the lead. Going to watch it again later, that was some team we had in 82.

The team that the Aussies had out for the 82 game was awesome, full strength test team which was unheard of for a mid week tour game.

it was a midweek game but the aussies played their full test team as they considered it to be their only threat of going unbeaten

Dowling played for Wigan. He was in their team which beat rovers in the 85/86 JPS trophy.

I could be wrong but I think you can play the ball turn and pick it up and run off.

I wasn't aware the rule had changed either, you rarely get no markers these days so no opportunity to tap to yourself.

What a team we had too, Knocker must have been injured at the time as he wasn't playing. Forgot how class Toppo was.
