The Olympics have been nothing short of amazing. They truly reflect what sport is all about and what sporting achievement means. In my opinion (as much as i love football) it has put the overpaid, over marketed fantasy world of professional football well and truly in the shade and for the right reasons!!

I never managed to get there unfortunately so I've watched it all on the telly. My step lad is in the services and has been based in Weymouth on security duties and he's just had a weekend off and the photos on his phone are amazing. He was with the sailors and Yachtsmen (and women) and he has searched Ben Ainsley four times!

The games have been amazing, really like the open water swim today and the triathlon was amazing to watch. (Brownlee would have only been 1.20min behind Mo and wouldn't have come last in the 10,000m).

Im a cyclist and loved watching Wiggins reinforce his immortality but have watched everything pretty much.

Ainslies anger and then pure class made even the sailing an amazing spectcle.

Watching our windsurfer put his silver medal around his 4 yr old sons neck after promising him he'd win him a medal brought a tear to my eye.

With it being this amazing, I'm surprised 8 competitors have decided to go "missing"!
