| When i first started watching hull in the early to mid eighties high tackles where more likely to be red carded. I remember Joe Lydon being sent off for one against us. Now if you commit a high tackle its just a telling off. This shoulder charge seems to be the new thing for sending off. Until this season especially i cant recall it being a major problem. As for Westerman i would have him in the 2nd row with Ellis next year. He just seems to offer more than Ticke apart from the goal kicking.

| Quote Sebasteeno="Sebasteeno"Im a big Westerman fan and with a better team around him i think you'll see a much better player next season barring any injuries.
As for that tackle then if were gonna send off or ban every player who tackles hard where the head receives contact in some way then they might as well as chuck it in and start playing touch rugby or why not go the whole hog and just play fooking pansie football. You can see when theres intent and Moas, Poletuas and Westys had none, Brent Webb on the other hand was clear jumping into the air and should of been punished'"

Leading with the shoulder is fine but if you get it wrong and make contact with the head you have to accept the punishment like happened with Moa and TP.

i dont see it like that i see westy go to put a big shot on and knock the ball free lauaki stumbles and westys arm meets his head not westy fault he was stood up tall and lauaki was falling at last minute he showed in the next tackle what he ment to do when he put a shot on and knocked the ball free again people are making miles to much of it and talking about a ban is ridiculous

I dislike Cockayne as much as any1 on here but I fail to see what this has got to do with anything. Plus he's a Wakey player now, get over it.

It really isn't.
Another average season from Westy next season will see him go I reckon.

I really don't understand the animosity against Westy. He's 22, captained the Knights last season, had a large chunk of this season out with injury and is coming into some form. Was talking to my mate from Wigan after the game and he said they rate him over there. It is not his fault he was bought for a massive fee and his fans expect him to win every game single handedly to some how make up for it.

I agree mate , I think westy is a great player and has a massive future at the club . Once someone has a bee in their bonnet about a player all they look for is negetives and totaly miss all the plus points that the player brings to the team .
Fwiw I see westy as a future full grade international .
