Seems to be an F.C. shortfall.

He had a blip earlier this season (possibly partly an injury being carried), but other than that he's been very consistent over his career IMO. The team around him, on the other hand... It's particularly hard for a winger to show how well he's playing in a poor side.

Also, Charnley has only really been playing for 2 years, most of which in one of the best sides about. It's only been the last 18 months that he's really been under the eye as much as well. That's a much shorter timescale in which to stay consistent, with a hell of a lot of supply, so IMO it's been much easier for him to maintain that consistency.

Just a worry going into leeds game is tickle , manu and briscoe might be playing on wednesday night be hard to back up to play against leeds on friday night be 3 games in 6 days

Talking about being slow - or not so - what about Whiting getting back to save that breakaway try? I've always said his speed is much-maligned.

Overall I'm not convinced we deserved it today. We did some good things, but we were also awful at times and as clueless as ever aside from a handful of players. Heremaia looks a very good acquisition, Watts also looked promising, Seymour tried very hard but simply lacked enough around him to work with (a couple of the poor pieces of play I think were actually down to desperation/frustration to make [isomething[/i happen), Horne was solid at fullback, Briscoe worked really hard and produced some good breaks, and I'm another who thought Westerman was one of our better players. On the downside, our execution showed some sloppiness in what seemed to be perfect conditions, we seemed to lack urgency and the effort to do the ugly things in several aspects of play, we were again given a lesson in kicking, and we still don't wrap the ball up enough.
