so 'wait and see' on a player who has won his club's player of the season award 3 years running in the worlds toughest competition, and probably only missing out this year due to injury. don't think it would be wait and see if he had signed for rovers

That was the reason I put wait and see due to his injury.

Unfortunately Gareth has suffered from injuries over the last season and a half . This resulted in him missing 21 of the last 43 matches. Bearing this in mind you are correct to say wait and see. If he remains clear of injuries he will be a tremendous signing no doubt about that.
