Why? If, in the opinion of the video ref, there is sufficient evidence not to award a try then it isn't given. If the camera angle is such that the video ref can't tell then the try stands.

I'm not buying that 'he was not effecting the game', becuase the try was scored down Martin's wing so it clearly did effect the game. And there was actually a stretcher on for Martin (albeit he was eventually end carried off on shoulders) but Stevie decided that playing on was a good option. Add in a 6-0 second half penalty count against and the odds were seriously stacked away from us. And as far as I can see this thread is entitled 'ganson' so it seems entirely fair to me to be discussing only his performance. I watched the game and eddies commentary was outrageous, he pretty much said he will always make a huge f**k up that will change a game in you case or snatch your team defeat from the jaws of victory like bradford v leeds in the first magic weekend, but hey thats just what he does, well if thats what he does why hasnt he been fired-like the ref in austailia who made a cock up that cost a team the game-or why dosent he get set down for the next week.
