Really not confident about this with over half our pack out and the back up out aswell it could be a long afternoon on friday hopefully the lads will turn up and do the business, we need big performances from Lynch, Tickle, Manu and Whiting to win, we need to be looking to hit them out wide.

Think we'll lose and not felt so indifferent to a derby for a long time. We're a work in progress and won't do much this season. If they win then let them rejoice that they've beaten their big neighbours. I'm far more interested in where we'll be in a couple of years time

We have a core of 7000 (not had a SL crowd lower than that since 2007), so your logic would suggest a minimum Hull crowd of 21000.

Nail on head here, not much has been said about this quartet. These are key for us and every one of them are bang on form and on that form wovers will do well to handle them. Our starting line-up are still very strong, the backs are without doubt a match for anyone so why should we be overly concerned? Weak bench maybe?

Well of all places to find ammunition for being positive, I'm just watching Boots n All. Never thought I'd be finding encouragement there, but here goes: We may have several members of the pack missing, but we do still have 4 of the best 6 forwards in SL this season available for selection. What's more, they're all big minuters. Phil Clarke identified OPTA's leading scorers for the season so far and Houghton, Lynch, Tickle, and Manu were all included. Seems it's not just us Hull fans they're impressing.
