We do, however, need the missing fans to return. 11,600 last night is a disappointing attendance given the way we've been playing and the general feel good factor.
I know times are hard but we should be looking at 13,000 for games like last night and nearer 15,000 for the likes of Leeds, Wigan and Saints.'"
It's surprising how easy it is to get out of any regular habit and then how difficult it is to get back into it again.
My local boozer closed for over a month after the previous landlord just let it go to the dogs. He was finally kicked out and it took the owner and new licensee about six weks to get it back into shape. It re-opened at the beginning of March and I've been in three times since, I used to go there for a couple of pints virtually every day. It's not that I've transferred my drinking to any other pub, I simply go out less.
I think the KC will see a gradual, as opposed to a dramatic, increase in attendances over this season. Remember we've been sold pups in the past and a couple of months of good performances may still not be enough to bring the crowds flocking back
