Let's just get behind them eh, not shoot them down. Last thing they need is everyone on there backs from the get go.

There's a whole new structure and everything and everyone needs a little time. If things don't turn out as well as we all hope especially down the right, don't slate them and call for their heads. Get behind them and keep getting behind them to try and raise confidence.

You need these guys even if its only to show them the way at training or maybe the correct diets. In my job I may be quicker and more keener then a lot of the older workers but there experience is vital and I constantly learn off them all the time. I see this as no different and the young players like Crooks will be learning off him all the time.

It is one year deal, perfect signing because he fitted under the cap, brings experience and can on his day be a good player. Even if just signing him gives Crooks that bit of competition to help him step up then again it was a good signing. Just because he is 33 or came from Crusaders means nothing at all and the sooner you "experts" out there realize this, the better.

I was underwhelmed at the signing at the time but I think he'll do a decent job for us.

Hopefully Ben Crooks will be ready in a year or so, it would have been an error to sign a centre for, say, two or three years and have Crooks leave the club.

By all accounts Martin is the consumate pro and hopefully the likes of Turner, Crooks, Cunningham and Lynn will all learn something from him this year.

I wouldnt underestimate what he can bring to the playing side either.
