The good thing about just showing the picture about a minute before the team comes out to give us the nod to sing rather than playing the anthem through the pa, is that the recorded version is obviously sung at a faster pace than the chant & never works whereas everyone will know when kick off is coming, look at screen & chant together.
Ooh I think this could work, sure it was asked at the 400 forum about coming out to old faithful & A P said he liked the idea. This method of just prompting us to sing instead of following an actual song could work I think because it's the one time when everyone should be ready

When i was in Oz the nrl teams players each had their own song and each player entered the field individually which i liked

Wot if they give a pair of shades to everyone as u walk in a bit like when you goto watch a 3D film at the cinema?

I know this is a crazy idea but why dont we just sing old faithful like we used to, someone or a group start and then everyone joins in.You never know someone might even sing the second verse.

As long as they don't do a reprisal of telling us to sing Old Faithful pre kick-off like at least years Wakefield game.

that was horrendous, as was the performance that followed...one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a Hull fan, the only good thing all evening was the 5-10mins of Agar booing and chanting at the end.

Old Faithful sounds at its best when sung spontaneously and not when prompted by laughing boy on the mike. That really got on my thrupneys last season. Maybe they shouldn't extend the polly tunnel so that the East stand can get a better view of the players about to enter the island, sorry pitch. Perfect que to start the singing off and no need for a recorded/announcer type prompt. We should leave that to Bradford and there spongefinger wielding fans.
