I hope he stays with fc for a while but when he does go to the nrl it will be the best thing for him and i hope he proves himself as he is a great talent

You cant blame him at all if he does decide to test himself in the NRL.

People are saying about raising the salary cap/improvement in our position but I dont think it would make a difference with Briscoe as he has always come across as a really ambitious person and would want to prove his class in the NRL no matter what.

If he goes I would rather next season be his last that way we can get a fee for him. If he went to the NRL I would not hold it against him, if he went elsewhere in SL I would.

I'd never hold it against anyone who moved for reasons of ambition, so long as they were honest about it, if he goes to Wigan, Saint or Warrington or even L**ds then it's his call, it is his career afterall.

Hopefully he'll see something at Hull next season that encourages him to stay, but if he decides to go to the best league in the world to test himself then he'll have my blessing, but I doubt he'll be one of the top players in the NRL.

Will be impossible to replace in terms of value for money - signed current deal 3 years ago and his stock's way higher now. Apart from Ryan Hall, no better British wingers around so wonder what we'll do. Expensive overseas wingers haven't really worked out that well for us. Should have kept Craig Hall. Better all round player than Briscoe according to some on the hidden Rovers forum.

Briscoe was a big fan of Agar, hopefully he will build a good relationship with Gentle and stay, however like Standee points out it is his career and rugby careers are very short lived so he will do what is best for him both financially and professionally.Sadly I would not be shocked to see him at Leeds in the future.

If he really wants to go to Oz, fair enough. He's not the finished article though, as his performances against NZ & Oz have shown. It could be a high risk strategy for him. If it pays off, he'll be world class.
If he wants to be released it must be at a time that works for the club too. Given that buying Westerman out of Cas apparently cost £100k+, we should be looking for a very big fee.
As others have said, hopefully Hull will improve so that he wants to stay and win silverware.
