McRae's recruitment for Hull has been as poor as his recruitment for Salford.

Personally i think its a good signing,
TBF to Burnett, he hasnt had, the greatest tuition in his career to date,
i.e Agar and Powell.
Lets see how he progresses under Gentle, interesting if he improves.

Got to agree .Always thought he had potential but a second rate coach soon altered that. I could tell you numerous occasions were squad players showed there failings and room for inprovement but it was rarely addresed Take Briscoe he was iffy under a high ball when he first came . The most i saw in training was 5 minutes at a time under bombs .Yet you could watch the Aussies at Hull practice ,practice, I do believe the new coach will address the problems and Burnett will improve

Lets hope he does,and proves re-signing him was an astute move.Another who likes the pub too frequently though,so hope he learns his lessons from the past,and makes the most of what could be his final chance to cement himself in SL.

Like others have said, not bothered if he stayed or went, looked like he could have been a good SL player, but for whatever reason it didn't happen, maybe he has been training with the club in the last week and Gentle has been impressed, hopefully the new coaching team can improve his game and he can become a good player.
With him signing I don't see the point in Aspinwall though, gives us more depth, but that's what i want to see the young lads being.

The only thing I can think, is that they are going to wait until a fuller assessment of players, after a bit of pre-season to see were best to spend. |
