does seem like an average signing,hopefully this wont be the last one and the time to analyse this properly is when recruitment is done..hes being slagged off before he even arrives..who knows he might do well with some decent players round him,anyone who wins an nrl grand final cant be totally rubbish and clueless surely?

Tony Martin would have been an underwhelming signing under the old regime. AP has massively raised the bar since taking over and that makes it 100 times more unfathomable.

Martin was a very good player in his day with a CV that most players would be proud of. I think that people have been too quick to assume that he will take your right centre spot at the expense of the Turner/Crooks/Whiting. Martin made his name as a full back and has laterly played a fair amount at stand off. One of these may be the position that Gentle is looking at him to play with his pace not been what it was but his rugby brain very much intact.

so what about Seymour and McKinnon then?
