My only reservation is that both our Head and Assistant are new to their job roles and have limited experience in their new roles. Although both are obviously talented, their inexperience could be a drawback.

Great news that he has retired.
Shocking news he is somehow still involved within the club.
Most of the people on here who are praising his appointment are just giving generic reasons such as 'respected'.
What are his credentials to be the number 2 in a side which in Pearson and Gentles words are wanting to challenge for honours ?
I was hoping that with Gentle and McRae coming in would give us a clean sweep of all of the backroom staff however these 3 appointments just reek of jobs for the boys.

Has coached in the NCL and won the title with East Hull,in the process.Also had a year coaching within the set up at Hull RU tho didn't really like it.Has also been involved with coaching the under 15's at fc.Everyone in coaching has to start somewhere!! Give Radders a chance,and if he fails i'm sure AP will act. |

Agree completely. The only positive for me is that we've got him off the playing roster. |

well radfords won it all in super league and considering that all the team mates hang around with him tells me that he is well respected |

I'm not disputing the fact everyone has to start somewhere however its a massive massive step up from coaching East Hull (who also had Danny Brough coaching there when they were successful) to a number 2 of a super league club.
I'm sure if the position was opened up externally there would have been far more experienced and better candidates for the position than Radford. |
