I don't really understand what some of the fuss is about regarding the transfer fee, given that we have managed to sign a player who will improve us as a pack/team. You would have thought that the money had come from their very own pockets! 50K - 100K is small change really, given how many minutes Lynch plays and the yardage/all round quality he will bring to Hull's pack.

Dunno if any of you guys have ever met Lynch? But he is a thoroughly nice, decent guy. When we ran events for Bullbuilder, he'd always be there. Very quiet and unassuming off the park, I've a hell of a lot of time for him. And I'm very VERY pìssed off our board seemed at ease at letting him go. Does not look like Potter wanted to lose him. But at least he looks like he has got himself a bit more financial security, and he deserves that IMO. I would not be surprised if he makes the Dream Team next year too.

As far as I can tell, you guys conducted yourselves totally properly in the way you handled this. I reckon you have struck pay dirt here, and you've got a good'un.

Really pleased about this signing, no doubt the best British prop available and he's got at least 2 good years left in him.

Really pleased with the Andy Lynch signing ... but in 3 years time would I rather we hadn't 'lost' Luke Briscoe?
