Great player - would love to see him move into the back row next season when fitz goes. As Phil Clarke says 'best loose forward in the game' - Too slow for the outside backs but his speed of thought won him every collison tonight apart from when a 1 on 1 pace was called upon

If we can't find another backrower and don't want to move Whiting then he'd be acceptable.

Hopefully we'll see Cunningham and Green emerge.

I'm willing to bet that Whiting's excellent contribution this season won't stop the usual thread before the start of next season stating that he's only a squad player at best and not good enough to hold down a starting slot. Hope he does get player of the year as I think he's under rated by many and a little recognition wouldn't go amiss.

I reckon next year is the time to try Whiting in the front row as that's about the only position he hasn't played yet.
