| Read this in the Aussie press not so long back. Makes a mockery of the competition when/if he does sign for them, considering no English club could get a visa for him. Be like the Greg Bird debacle a couple of years ago.

Why does it? France's immigration laws are different to ours.

So, due to immigration laws Catalan can essentially sign a player who couldn't play for any other team (Greg Bird & Bradford) and you think that's fair?

if it's the law of the land in the country in which they operate then there is little that can be done about it, if he can get the relevant documentation to travel and play games in the UK then I agree it is an issue, but it isn't an RFL issue, it's an immigration/UKBA isssue.

Of course its an issue for the RFL, in 2009 Bradford signed Greg Bird, he was refused entry, ended up in Catalan and nearly single handedly took them to OT. It's an unfair advantage they have.
Quite what they can do about it, I don't know. But it's certainly an issue.

| Quote Coventry Warrior!="Coventry Warrior!"I think the top sides in the competition have improved greatly over the last 5 years or so. If yourselves had a coach like Maguire then you would be a top team. I would say there are 5/6 teams that have good squads and with good coaches such as Maguire/Smith/Brown can be contenders year on year. However I feel there is a good 6 clubs which have either declined dramatically or havent improved at all. These teams have been left behind whilst a few others have moved on.'"
See how you get on next season if Wane gets the job....No2's dont always make good coaches as we have found out.
