Is standee a fan of any Hull player past or present?

G Horne isn't remembered for being too drunk / hungover to train or only putting the effort in when a new contract depended on it or for not having a professional sports mans attitude towards his job.

That G Horne has got better as a player since leaving Hull speaks volumes about how is was managed whilst he was one of our players.

I was one of Kings critics in his last few seasons with Hull due to his poor attitude towards his job.

That being said in 2000/2001 he had all the tools required to to become a top class forward. Unfortunately for him he chose beer as his mentor.

My post wasn't a snipe about who drinks the most or who has the better attitude towards their jobs, it was more about the career paths of both players; one who is dropping down a division to gain longevity and another who is dropping down a club or two to increase his SL status. And for your information - I have seen the latter wasted more times than the former.

Has he ever been there? It rains everyday, even on dry days it still rains. Everything is grey, the sky, the sea, the buildings - everybloodything is grey. If you spot some colour, it's like that little girl in the red coat in Schindler's List, they shouldn't be there, warn them away, something bad is bound to happen to them.

Even Batley would be preferrable to Whitehaven

Indeed, but he's a Hull lad so he's a "legend" or some such other garbage, if he'd have put half the effort into training as he did to drinking he could have been one of the best props we'd seen at FC in many years.

Him and two bobs are the biggest wasted talents I've seen in an FC shirt.

but based on his performance yesterday (which I witnessed), he wasn't good enough/fit enough for a team playing at Championship level. He did 2 15 minute spells at championship 1 level and was puffing a fair bit after both spells.

I've never seen or heard anyone refer to King as a legend. He could have been, but didn't make the most of his undoubted talent. He's not the first, and he won't be the last. He's not an embarrassment to the game though, he's just a decent player who could have been much, much better than that.

There are a fair few on this very forum wh ohave given King the "legend" status.
