In fairness to Sean Long I dont think he intentionally got injured and are all his injuries due to age? He was out for a lot of last season with a dislocated elbow, the same injury as Luke Robinson got playing for England, and this season with a badly broken thumb and a dislocated shoulder. I think it's pretty cynical to begrudge a player who has an excellent pedigree and has clearly put his body on the line playing for the club.

Not sure who you are calling cynical fact is he was a great player in his heyday, but in rhetorspect from the clubs perspective it's a poor signing!! |

One of the best British players of his generation.
I was delighted when we signed Sean Long, believed he was worth a 2 year contract at the time, that he would be the general/on field leader/play maker/tactical kicker we desperately lacked and still lack, but it hasn't worked out.
Will be interesting to see where he ends up and how successful or otherwise he turns out to be in a caching role.
