Agreed. My point about Obst has always been that even if he was only on an average wage (60k) that extra 60k shortfall could stop us going the extra yard to get a player we really want. We were always going to be looking to recruit in the playmaking positions next season so I just couldn't see how a 2 year deal was ever going to make sense as Obst just won't get any gametime.

id sooner send horne to wakefield.obst was one of our better attacking players on sunday,he did fade a bit later on,but we didnt have the option of spelling him like leeds where able to do with burrows.horne was again invisible.

Is that enough to probably take a pay cut? Unless they're willing to offer him a longer deal with retirement looming, I think he might want to hold on to the money for another year, as it's likely that they'd still take him at the end of his current deal.
