| As a occasional poster on this board(very occasional looking at my post count),i just had to add my thoughts on this development.
First off,it's fantastic news.Pearson is probably the sole reason City are the club they are today.Without Pearson they probably wouldn't have been a KC stadium,or Premier league football for City.He is honest,hard-working,excellent with the media and has a drive and ambition the previous BOD at FC clearly didn't possess. He doesn't suffer fools and is incredibly professional.
Those thinking there's a link,or some separate agenda involving the Allams are deluded.Pearson is his own man, this purchase will have been totally independant from anything involving his role at City, and besides,if Allam wanted a stake in FC,he wouldn't go through someone else to obtain it.....why would he??....Why wouldn't the BOD not sell to him???
Anyway,i'm digressing slighty.I think the countdown clock is now ticking on Agar too, which is no bad thing either.

| This is absolutely fantastic news. Finally we have an owner with the drive to be the best but who can also run it as a successful business too. This is the news ive been waiting years for and means that we sould be challenging Wigan and Wire for top within a couple of years. Im off to put my FC shirt on!
Welcome Adam!!!!

Yet sold Hull City to Duffen? Also, his choices in managers are questionable - Peter Taylor was obviously a good manager but what about Phil Parkinson, (debatedly) Phil Brown, Jan Molby, .
Maybe the BOD wouldn't sell to Allam because of his questionnable conduct and comments about Hull FC with regards to the stadium and mergers?

Look I have nothing against AP, this could be a great move for us.
However the current board gets accused of having no RL person on there (despite Kath's vast knowledge) so I am just pointing out the same thing.

| Why is it fashionable these days to accuse anyone who has an alternative view as being deluded ? It's a delusional stance to take IMO.

Dont think it matters now as Agar will be gone soon anyway. Did you not notice that not once does Pearson mention Agar in his statement which says a lot to me

| Very surprised at this because - even though he hails from the Rugby League heartlands - Pearson has never proclaimed to be a 'fan' of the sport and, indeed, during his first spell at Hull City, seemed quite hostile to it.
That said, I am sure he will run the club in a professional manner (particularly, as he is using his own money for once) but he has a reputation for 'meddling' in football and his record of achievement (on the field) isn't that great, especially at Derby.
it shouldn't be forgotten that Pearson is just an 'investor' not a benefactor.
Where he differs from other RL owners like Moran, McManus, Lenegan, Hudgell, Hughes, Davey, Wilkinson etc is that he will demand a return on his investment and has no particular affinity for the club. He will also 'move it on' as soon as he feels right!

| Welcome AP, saying all the right things but it's what he does that we will judge him on. I'm hopefully optimistic.
I just hope he is strong enough to do his own thing and not get sucked in to the Allam's plans.
