In Whitings defence (pardon the pun) look what happened away at Saints when afer a re-shuffle he was in the middle of the park. The final try of the night (one of our best trys of the season) was the kind of try that FC simply don't score - all single handedly created by RW.

Why on earth he's not given more of a go in the middle is still a mystery to me. Instead revert back to Plan B, aka D.Washbrook. Even Cullen hit the nail on head in commentary the other night in his bafflement over that switch.
