Top 5 SL teams (6 if you include Cas though at the moment they are getting beaten by Hudds) all have Australian coaches. Tony Smith has never done anything in Australia. McGuire was only assistant with Melbourne and yet these individuals have what it takes. Saints have injuries but yet are still up there with Royce Simmons and Hudds under Brown are pretty awesome. Yet look at Leeds with McDermott they are struggling and Hull are under performing both with British coaches. If i was a super league chairman (or women) i would be looking down under!

Some may look at Potter with Bradford and say he is Australian but to be fair he has inherited a poor squad and are in a phase of rebuilding. Where McDermott at Leeds had inherited a good squad in done nothing much.

I want him replaced it's that simple. However it can be argued that he improved us considerably last season from thw bottom 2/3 to very nearly 6th. No great but an improvement, we were not going to go from 10th to 2nd overnight. It could also be argued that he took us down to 10/11th in the first place.

I'm clear and always have been, I want a new head coach and have done for a long time. No splinters here but nice try.

So you want rid but he deserved the chance to coach us this season?

Think it is more realistic than pessimistic.

I love this quote from the post-match stuff last night:

"Tonight was a setback but we've been building our performances in recent weeks and I'm certain we will see a reaction in the right manner next week."

So roughly translated that's:

"We've played some crap teams lately who convinced us that we're actually a minor threat to anyone inside the top eight. Unfortunately, that was proved not to be the case but I'm sure next week we'll make at least one half break in the 80 minutes."

Sigh...He should be gone.

However, supposedly at the beginning of last season he asked the club to back him in a clearout and his recruitment plans and they did hence giving him 'his team'. He then took us to 6th and was unlucky not to get 4th so [iit could be argued[/i that he earnt himself another shot this year.

We are failing this year however so he has no excuses, indeed he may never have had any.

If I were in charge he would not be the head coach.
