| i think there are two factors, many supporters believe the clubs only ambition is to make money with winning silverware coming a distant second (even though success on the pitch makes money) and the fact that over the last couple of years price rises in everyday essentials has made things like rugby a bigger luxury than it was, people will pick and choose. if you are paying on the day with a couple of kids in tow it's very expensive.

| Quote arliebird="arliebird"agree we have plenty on the radio but not tv, agree about how crap we are on the field but we where much worse back in 2009 but we getting 14k still. like i say back to unreserved seating, bring prices right down.'"
But like fools we bought the spin in 2009, we are no longer buying it. Until we get to a consistant top 4 team I suspect the crowds will deminish or at best stagnate at current levels. I think the BOD are starting to recognise that now or at least should be.

| I'm one of those who has stopped attending, and it's not (at least not only) about how good the team is. I started going in the Sharks days, so I was hardly enticed by the good times, and I was a season ticket holder up to and including 2009. I still went every other week for those 2 terrible seasons in the bottom 3, and went to most games of 2010. But it's this team I don't want to see or feel any attachment to, even with a slight upturn in results and apparently performances. They are not 'my team' in the way they always were. I didn't even bother to watch the last 2 home games when they were on Sky, never mind go to the ground, which was a stage I never thought I'd ever get to. I've been growing more apathetic year on year, and have only the slightest shred of interest remaining. The killing blows are the patronisation and spin that come out of the club in recent years, which I feel reveal just how stupid the board must think us fans are if they expect us to swallow it all.

| Quote TrevLovesJanice="TrevLovesJanice"Agreed.
What more do people want than an unbeaten run ?
Someone was on here recently stating that the South stand was the nearest we now have to Threepennies. Well, I don't remember Threepennies being half empty due to the part-time supporters staying at home !!
And as for Huddersfield - their turnout was pathetic.'"
Agreed, but sort of understandable with Hudds Town in a play off final less than half the distance away.

| to be fair, our away support was always going to be hampered by the fact that many of the people who would have come over on a friday/saturday chose to either go to old trafford or stay in town and watch both games once it was moved to a sunday.i had already planned to meet a hull supporting friend and stay over on the friday, unfortunately due to other commitments sunday became a no-no for me as it did for many others.
i must admit though i thought the crowd looked very low from seeing on tv,i cant remember seeing so many empty seats in the East stand before.
but despite this and despite the fact that hull fc have been mediocre for the last few years your support is still a credit to you and most of us would love to have that level of support.

| Give our following some slack guys.......i was surprised we brought as many as we did due to the fact that 99% of huddersfield's sporting public were at Old Trafford watching HTFC in the play off final or sat in the pubs around Town watching both games.
it was always going to be a poor turnout due to the 12.30 kick off and the clash with the play-off final.
Thought it was a bit unfiar of SKY to make fans choose by showing both games on the same day meaning people with a foot in both camps were obviously going to choose OT over the KC.

I think to be fair to you we have a certain element who will always point to the away following at the KC as some kind of excuse. For that I and many more sane fans can only apologise. For me the day Hull FC start looking towards away following to boost our attendances will be a sad sad day.

| The crowds will be causing the board some concern, if we can only get 11,000 for a big game against Hudds while 6 matches unbeaten, how bad are the crowds for Quins, Salford and Catalan going to be?
it is far tool expensive to watch Hull at home, and it is a long time since we have performed consistently well at home.
