| Quote HFC Boy="HFC Boy"So 1million pound will help a Club who have now admitted losing 500K a season since 2007?
That makes them still 1.5million in debt.

plus Mason,s 250k, thats the hefty signing on fee, believed to be 140k( according to Aus papers) and 110k by the time he leaves for Toulon, leaves enough to pay outstanding monies to builders etc!!!

This brings us to the issue of ground sharing with our neighbours from across the river. Anyone who believes that Hull KR will remain at Craven Park in the long term when the KC is in the hands of the Allams is deluded. As astute a businessman as Mr Allam is, he will want to maximise his return on his investment by greater use of the KC. We have already had Neil Hudgell openly saying in a recent HDM article that he would be open to the suggestion of Hull KR relocating to the KC Stadium with its superior facilities. And believe you me this will happen. And how exactly would that work for ‘home derby matches’ with shared ownership? Season pass holders not being able to sit in their own seat? Or with the regular friends around them? First come first served? A mess waiting to happen. '"
My word, hardly a difficult scenario to overcome, is it!? The team at home get first choice of seats. It's not rocket science. It would be like any other home game. If Rovers were to move a home game against us to the KC, they'd get first choice of stands, etc.
Besides, why would Rovers invest in their ground and then move? I think they're happy where they are, and I think the Allams would want "their pitch" in good condition for their assault on the Premier League.

| Quote Monkey Fc="Monkey Fc"To be honest I find this situation a little unnerving. It’s kind of like when you climb into a freshly filled bath and for that first instantaneous second you cannot tell if it is really, really hot or really, really cold. As one wise man once said ‘all that glitters is certainly not gold’. The purchase of Hull City as a ‘lever’ to gaining ownership of the stadium seems to be the crux of the issue – confirmed recently by threats of moving the club to another venue and putting a strangle hold on the council’s stadium revenue if the sale was vetoed. For someone doing things for the people of Hull he has a very aggressive way of going about this. If this does not set alarm bells ringing I do not know what will.

I personally like the way things stand at present. The KC Stadium is a community stadium paid for by the flotation of Kingston Communication built for the people of Hull. Its current owners (the council) will never go bust in the sense of the word and the ground will always be safe and our club will have a stable future. To the Allams I can see it being nothing more than a £44 million collateral asset sat on an ever expanding balance sheet, with long term investment & financial gain being the outcome.
I hope I am wrong and and I hope his motives are for the good of the people of Hull, but something somewhere does not ring true. I have followed my club whole-heartedly for the majority of my life. I love my club and would hate for anything untoward to spoil its future.
The Stadium belongs to the people of Hull and should remain so.'"
Agree with this post. Also if the stadium is going to be sold it should be advertised world wide to get the best return/price for the people of Hull, why should only one man have the option of buying the stadium ?

| It's clearly an interest free loan cos Hudgill's panicking. Noone should worry about it IMO. Fc will never "be moved" to play in Craven Park, as it would probably cost as much to sort that place out properly as it would to build a new stadium.
Allam is just blustering. Massive sports village, great idea, but I would like to see a proper business plan, as I guess would anyone else including any investors in order to see it happen. Despite ideas to the contrary, Allam does not have 70-100 million in loose change to splash on this, without selling all his other interests.
He wants the KC to make more money, by selling up with city a successful premiership stalwart. City can never be this, despite what anyone might think. They will never be worth silly money to buy.
Sadly I do believe that Fc could have some issues with all of this grandiose plan along the way
I may be wrong, and he may be a simple good samaritan helping out the city of Hull. I believe this however as much as I believe Ben Cockayne is an upstanding human being. Talking of Ben, I wonder what he thinks of these foreigners paying his wages?

| I haven't read all posts in this thread but has anyone considered that they might be doing up caravan park for us to be moved into from the KC? I just don't trust the Allams as I cant see what else they would hope to do by giving away £1m to rovers. I've got a bad feeling of another David Lloyd scenario unfolding. I hope I am wrong as that would not be a good situation to be in again, Not for us, City or rovers.

| Well I reckon (& hope) the council will tell him to jog on, he can't take Hull city out of the KC so his claims at moving them out are a complete & utter nonsense
Any businessman worth his salt can see that putting a stadium out of town will dwindle support for the immediate future & disinfranchise the fans who live in the city.
Building a new stadium on the back of reaching the PL & attracting big crowds plus training facilities/sports village/whatever he's gonna need £100M+ just for that (Liverpools 60k stadium is on the cards for £400M!)
On top of all that any planning permission would/could take years . Even getting the go ahead wouldn't physically happen for at least 4 years at best.
Also there's no hard fast guarantee that city will make the PL in any case even with plenty of money, if they take 2-3 years with higher wages than now AND major transfer fees plus building a new stadium, he just wouldn't be able to afford that &/or get backing as that would/could be another £50-75M to get some decent players & pay their salaries over a couple of years.
I actually think that the FC board are fairly confident that Allem is all bull & bluster.
ATEOTD if the council you've elected think his threat of moving city out holds any substance & that his involvement in the city sporting wise is beneficial long term then Hull is in a bigger mess than I could possibly have imagined.

| Think people are getting a bit worried over nothing.
First of all he has given Rovers a intrest free loan, fair play to him, maybe he offered Hull the same, but to be fair we dont need a loan, so it would be pointless and risky.
If Allam does get the KC, as long as council look after us (which I think they will) and make a good lease for us, it will do us no harm.
The man isn't looking to make money out of the sporting clubs in Hull, so doubt he would increase our rent etc.
I'd be worried if he bought our club though, we don't know enough about him to allow he to be involved in the day to day running of the club.

| Quote The Dentist Wilf="The Dentist Wilf"How can a man who said just five weeks ago that he would only support rugby League in this City if both clubs combined and merged because he refused to support one team and not the other have any credibility! He sited doing that as being unfair on the people of Hull. For me quite simply the man is certainly not a man of his word and some might even say a liar. For a man who wants to get on with everyone he has in one act allienated himself with half the City! When he made that statement it appears he had already been talking to Rovers for months. Someone should ask David Burns or the Hull Daily Mail to ask Mr Allam what is behind this obvious U turn. Smells a bit of David Lloyd this, all this wanting a piece of everything and spitting his dummy out (Welton and get rid of HUll Fair) when he is faced with possibly not getting his own way. If I was a Rovers fan I would be careful what I wished for and if I was the national audit office I would be watching this deal for the KC very closely!'"
Whilst Mr Allam made this statement he was already in talks with Rovers , he stated last night on RH that he had been intalks with Hudge for a few months .
