| Quote old frightful="old frightful"Gave me goosebumps, esp. the sound of it. I'd love to hear the comments from some of our more senior supporters who may have witnessed it. Bet they had a tear or two in their eyes.'"
I was born in the 1960's but if there is one thing guaranteed to bring a lump to my throat, it is the thought of the sacrifice made by that generation. Ordinary people carrying out extraordinary acts of courage and fortitude. Fantastic sight yesterday.

| if you like the Hurricane then the Spitfire is even better (in terms of sound), you used to be able to see it at Belton but the concerts don't happen anymore, the Battle Proms at Burghley is a great (nostalgic) day out though.

| We got lucky it was supposed to be a Spitfire but the Battle of Britain Memoral flight have been using the Hurricanes a lot more on these sort of events. Hurricane LF363 is a Mk llC and is one of only two operated by the flight, she was built in 1944.
