I'm thinking of my beloved Grandad today. This is the first year he's not been with us for VE day as he passed away in March. He never spoke about his time in WWII and Grandma says he came back a different man, especially after his time in the far East.

Grandma says that the horrors that Grandad saw in the Far East don't bare thinking about. He was a Royal Naval Commander and was sent out there to release and rescue the Dutch that had been captured by the Japanese.
