Washy clearly cups his hands to go for the ball. If he'd wanted to tackle the man in the air surely his arms would be round him?

players are jumping for the ball both players feet are off the ground plus Washy has his back to the Saints player and his arms are raised to catch the ball

Could have been given either way. What is more narking is that if it had been the other way around with saints chasing their own drop out I reckon they would have been given the benefit of the doubt and play on.

Why was he reffing this game?? There wasn't any other superleague games on Monday. Any of the other refs could have (Should have) been the ref. It stops the controversy!
