| Quote Faithful One="Faithful One"Exactly, what we saw on Friday was basic stuff ie catching a ball which every player knows how to do. I don't see how agar can get the blame for that. I do think we may need a change for the good of the club, but Friday wasn't down to agar.'"

I think its unrest between players that is the problem as they aint playing for each other.'"
It is Agars team. No excuses.

| Quote ICECREAMMAN="ICECREAMMAN"But thats why i said you should come to watch the lads train.. you would see as both a motorvator and a coach he is very switched on ....
as i just said to someone on IM, you would expect the core skill of international players to be the fact thay can pass , catch a ball without dropping it and drive in without dropping it, all of which went west last week...
no matter how good a coach you are , passing drills are not expected to be your game build up'"
I dont get you - We dont want to watch them train most of us are at work when that is happening anyway - While I appreciate what you are saying about Richard and your loyalty to him James its what we pay for that is the problem. I will say again I have never met him but listening to him at Forums.Radio etc I really like him but that is not enough.

Probably watches them train through his high powered telescope from his attic bedsit in Coltman Street.

With the latest that the club is getting shirty about Twitter's fake Kath and Agar, you'd think they'd be approaching Admin on here about the fake James Webster.
Wouldn't they...?

| Quote HRC99="HRC99"Here's my take on the Board's thinking:
To my mind, the Board believed he was the right man for the job which is why he was given the job and then had his contract extended. They obviously saw something in him and how he worked that they liked and believed in.
They believed that patience, support and time was needed to allow Agar to get the results they wanted.
Looking at last season, whilst most of us would have wanted a change, the team was extremely close to making 4th spot and, barring some horrendous injuries, they probably would have done.
This left them with a choice: do they keep him on or sack him?
Having decided that last season's results were satisfactory given the injuries, they decided there was no reason to remove him.
They then supported him in paying transfer fees for Westerman and Obst, as well as supporting him over the sacking of Tansey.
The publishing of the fixtures meant that they knew they were most likely in for a bumpy ride from the fans at the start of the season. Whilst hoping for the best (in terms of results), they were also prepared for the worst. They knew we were likely to be "not very many from six" when the season began.
They would have considered this before the start of the season and, probably, decided and agreed a point during the season at which they would review the team's progress. That review point was always unlikely to be that soon into the season, given the fixtures, and they did not want to make a knee-jerk reaction.
As fans, some of us would not have wanted his contract extended when it was, probably more than 50% of us wanted him gone at the end of last season and now the overwhelming majority of us want him gone immediately. At each of those points, the Board (with more information than we have) had to take a decision and, at each point, they have decided to support their man and you can see a case why they made the choice that they did. Albeit, a case that most on here would not support.
I believe that the review point is here or almost here that the Board would have agreed before the season started and Agar's position will be coming under serious scrutiny right now.'"
Blimey, you won't get far on here talking in such measured fashion.
