Thats IT !!!!!!!, Jules and Agar win i am no longer going to any HULL FC game until AGAR at least has gone and if they dont hurry up i feel i may never fell the need to return ,I dont need this at the end of a hard week wasting my money when i can watch way better teams on Sky score great trys week in week out.
All the best to " The Old Faithful "
Robbo67 signing off
well its bad when my father who is 85 and supported the since the 30s actually said to me shall we not go against cas and watch the sky match instead .
not only should he get free entry for going all those years but to not want to go as he says its so boring to watch the same rubbish week in week out is criminal . rule and agar etc should read this and be ashamed how far they have brought the club down .
and by the way we shall boycott the cas game as well as my 2 boys
As a board we believe that Richard Agar is the man to lead the team . You may disagree with that belief and are entitled to your view but I would ask that you continue to play your invaluable role as the 18th man supporting the players and coaches as we strive for success on the field of play. Our players and coaches have gone on record on many occasions thanking and recognizing the tremendous support of our fan base. Once again it has been apparent in each of our three games this season and was particularly vocal in our last away match at Huddersfield. It is very much appreciated, you can (and do) make the difference and help us get the first points of this campaign on the board on Friday.
Thank you for your continued support.
We got back to the Steel River very late Friday after another abject display from a team playing with little direction and no confidence.
Have to agree with the posts about team selection, interchanges, poor positional kicking etc...
I can’t see that Richard Agar has the talent to turn things around.
If [according to J.R. everything is hunky dory on the training ground what is going wrong on Friday before the kick off? What a cunning training ground plan to get Radford to kick on the 5ths and Manu to find no one to pass at the end of his solo breaks!
Past history in all sports will show that when a team like ours is in this situation the coach/team manager has to go!
Sadly the B.O.D’s are people with no ambition, no vision and not fit for purpose.
Maybe when P&O get that sinking feeling, someone on the BOD’s will wake up.!
Because of work rosters we pay as we go, my heart goes out to you guys and gals with season passes.
Final point: is the singing of “Ol faithful “before the kick off having a negative effect?
QuoteICECREAMMAN="ICECREAMMAN"i would agree , but we have to keep supporting and hoping, there is too much class in our ranks for it not to turn around...
sometimes you know in pro sport its become too easy just to bin the coach when things get tough, maybe some praise should be handed to those who will suffer in their pockets, who could make a chopping block of agar but have not and especially to a board who could make wholesale changes if they wanted but have decided to be loyal for once given our past history of coaching culls'"
It's all very well, Icecreamman, but you've changed your mind in the last 4 weeks about Agar more times than you've changed your jockstrap, microphone or till rolls, (whatever your job within the club is). Now, what is your [itrue[/i opinion (not the one that you think will currently concur with that of the Hull powers-that-be) and are you intending to stick with it for, say, 3 consecutive matches?
If they do go & win against Quins, it will just prove that the players can turn it on if needed. Like they did against Wigan (well, sort of). What is the the sum of our ambitions?. Winning the odd game. Narrowly losing against 12 man Wigan. Being minutes away from a 4th place finish.
A club with our fanbase & facilities should aiming for a final every year. Not making do with a top 6 finish.
The club rely on the passion of the fans to buy 9,000 season passes. You can't pick & choose that passion. When things go repeatedly wrong expect that passion to turn against the club.
Rule has seriously midjudged the mood of the fans today. The spin won't work anymore, & the remaining fans who can still be ar$ed are now getting angry. If things get any worse, they'll have to announce the Cooper Cronk signing soon.
QuoteIrregular Hoops="Irregular Hoops"If they do go & win against Quins, it will just prove that the players can turn it on if needed. '"
And this - which I thinks sums it up - underlines all that is wrong and illustrates exactly why Agar sadly is not up to it as Head coach. Save face if they must, and bring in a DOR in addition to Agar for the rest of the season. Then a big overhaul if necessary at the end of the year.

Dear James
I've read your "rallying cry" in the HDM and seen the reply that you have sent to others who have expressed their views in response to it. I've spoken with you on a number of occasions at corporate events , in the street outside away grounds , even in France and always until recently have felt that you've done your job well , presented the club line in a clear way and at least appeared considerate of my ( a fans ) view regardless of whether I've agreed with you or not. Recent interviews and comments culminating in the HDM article show a very different side. We are not idiots , patrons we may be but we do not need to be patronised. Alistair Campbell would be proud of the spin coming out of FC at the moment. You seem to be deliberately avoiding the criticism being levelled at the club and instead make comments "reacting" to one poor result. It isn't about the winning and losing though goodness knows we ought to be doing more winning than we have over the last 3 or 4 years. It's about the absolute lack of entertainment , the lack of ambition , the constant poor performances , the catalogue of excuses and never admitting that mistakes have been made or that "we" are just not good enough. The rubbish last year about being "nearly 4th" , the "great performance " against Wigan where we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory , the need for Agar to have "heavies" in the form of senior Aussie pros come over and sort out discipline , Carvell wanting away , Berrigan not performing and then leaving us in a hole , the Tansey affair , having no halfback for years and above all the unmitigating crap that is presented to us on the field week in week out just leaves me numb. I was fed up last year and could see there was worse to come. I hoped it would change but why would it? It's the same old same old wait until Agar has his own team , wait until we get over our injuries , wait until the kids come through , wait until we gel , wait until next year and next year and next year. Then you have some plonker who knows nothing about Hull FC put on a scarf and tell me to stand up and sing Old Faithfull , ignore the fact that we've watched another 40 minutes of rubbish and try to feign excitement with some half baked half time entertainment that would seem more at home at amateur hour at a kids school fete!! For God's sake , get a grip , admit we're in a mess , get a coach with a brain in his head and some backbone who will kick some overpaid backsides into shape and get the Club respecting it's fans in it's actions not just paying "18th man" lip service to them.
Your condescending , patronising piece in the HDM really is for me the final straw.
Yours sincerely and with regret
