| And if he had some proper perspective, rather than some pie in the sky over inflated opinion of FC tonight, he and everyone else would be satusfied with allowing the oppo to score 18 as long as we scored 19 or more!
Sometimes you just need to cross the line 1st! Then starting shifting you the goals.

Depends how much you think you should read in to beating the Crusaders I guess.

| Exactly - the word we should be focusing on is 'BEATING', especially as we hadnt beaten anyone so far!
The points difference is unimportant, especially when its just about achieving that 1st win to provide some confidence.

It's a point of view, not one that I particularly agree with. We've started this season with three tough tests and failed each one, tonight was as close to a 'gimme' as you get in SL these days. If we'd managed to nil them or keep them to 6 then it might have really meant something but predictably we failed to do that, you can talk about confidence etc but IMO nothing that has happened tonight changes the fact that we are going to get beat by Wigan next week, and it doesn't change that we will probably beat Wakey the week after. We are what we are under Agar, winning tonight just means we aren't on a losing streak anymore, it doesn't mean we are going anywhere.

Of course, that's always the case no matter who you are playing and it's always better than losing.
It doesn't change that the significance you can dirive from a win can vary massively.

| So youve already decided that FC will be beaten by Wigan, and then we'll beat Wakey.
So why is the points difference so important to you?
From what i gather of your reasoning beating Crusaders by 1 or 100 wouldnt affect anything in the games to come?
So why are you up in arms about it?

This is your quote. So would beating Crusaders by 50 mean we'll have more of a chance of beating Wigan?

If we'd managed to nil someone for the first time In Agar's reign or beat someone by more than 30 points for the first time in Agar's reign, then yer I think that landmark might have done more for the team's confidence than the result eventually did tonight
Having lost our first three consecutive proper tests, I don't see how the lads are going to somehow draw loads of confidence to win our biggest test yet just from beating the 3rd weakest team in the comp by a reasonable scoreline.
