"Thank you for taking the time for contacting ‘Tell Us’ with your email, the thoughts and feedback of our fan base is always appreciated by everybody here at the club, even if we dont really take any notice whatsoever.
Sport is full of opinions, but some are more important than others and that is why it stimulates so much debate. At any given moment in time you will find thousands of different opinions relating to all aspects of our club both on and off the field of play within the Hull FC fan base. Having said that the current situation regarding the coach Richard is limited to 2, "Agar Out" and "were considerably richer than you so do as your told." We are lucky to have such a large and passionate supporter base as it brings in lots of cash and it goes without saying that everybody within our fan base will have an opinion even if they dont deserve one. However I hope you will appreciate that in my capacity as Chief Executive my main priority is to make money and do as the B.O.D say, it would be unprofessional and disrespectful to engage in public debate, analysis or criticism of individuals performances whether that is a coach, member of staff or a player no matter how true it might be or how obvious it is to everyone.
I can assure you that everybody connected with the club is united in the pursuit of the common objective of making money, a successful club on the field would be a nice bonus but its not essential . At times that pursuit will face adversity, challenges and hurdles but as a united group we will seek to overcome them. I acknowledge that our fans will always turn up even when we lose and that is much appreciated by the clubs accountants. However whilst not wishing to sound clichéd each Super League season is a long campaign and all teams will be judged on where they finish in the league not where they begin. This is most helpful when it suits our agenda but excuses like injuries and unsettled squads tend to come in handy as well just in case.
As a board we believe that Richard Agar is the cheapest man to lead the team. You may agree with that belief and are entitled to your view and I would ask that you continue to play your invaluable role as the cash cow supporting the board as we strive to make more money and possibly an "A" grade rating. Our players and coaches have gone on record on many occasions thanking and recognizing the tremendous support of our fan base, mainly because thats what we tell them to say. Once again it has been apparent in each of our three games this season (if you ignore the low crowd against Leeds and the small demonstration at Huddersfield) and was particularly vocal in our last away match at Huddersfield. It is very much appreciated, you can (and do) make the difference to the balance sheet and if you could refrain from complaining too much on Friday that would be helpful.
In closing I'd like to thank you for your continued support and if you could see your way to popping into the club shop either before or after the game and purchasing some merchandise it would show that you really are a true fan.
Regards
James
