i personal never saw omeley stick the v up,
what i saw was so called fans giving the v to the team as they cam across after the game and get abuse for that section

The people with the banner were at the top right (as you face the pitch) and then went down to the bottom at the end to face the team. I went to make my way down to see what was going on, but it all all nothing. Didn't see anything untoward from them or the team. But people I was with, were angry at O Meley. It completely passed me by tho.

I was there and I never saw O'Meley stick two fingers up at the fans, I saw his reaction to the banner, but no fingers were raised to the fans.

I left the ground on the hooter, but as you walked across the car park the chant changed from Old Faithful to Mark O'Meley de de de de, so the fans actually in the ground obviously agreed more with what he did than the pillocks with the banner.

Fascinating theory.

Omeley never stuck 2 fingers up but a certain section of the fans near me did to the players which i found disgusting especially as the team really had a dig today

It's just strange that this is the 16th page of people discussing this incident and I don't think anyone has yet said that the entire stand broke out into song in support of Mark O'Meley as he was making his views known to the people with the banner, yet you have managed to make that assertion based on what you heard from the car park.

Have you been to the Galpharm? Well you will know that the car park I am referring to is right on the back of the away end at the stadium.

I'm sure that I haven't imagined it, but if someone could confirm for me that I wasn't hearing things that would be good.

O'meley never flickee any V's as far as I could see I was there and its fine to hear these people saying that because thats what they what to believe , the radio said he made a gesture to the crowd he certainly did but it was to tell the folks displaying their Arar out banned right in front of the players who had today given their all. Get real folks some people would like to think he flicked a few V's but in reality he just hated the Agar Out banner at that time it was in his face when he had given his all for our club he just waved it away! Don't believe the hype!!!! some folks want you to believe something hat didn't happen., O'meley if nothing else just made a statement of the players solidarity!
