Quote: Ian P "Walked out on me a couple of years ago, I was devastated at first we used to have many weekends together and then it was Friday nights only or else. I could not make it every Friday and after forty years I was cast aside, left to my own devices a lesser person could have drifted to the dark side. I am made of stronger stuff and I have now rebuilt my life, found other loves to interest me on weekends, one that does not cost me as much or is so demanding.
Now its all going pear shaped and I have been asked to go back as we where before, even a nice seat complete with prawn sarnies. I have a new love now and I shall remain true to her as I have been jilted once too often by the other one and she seems to triflling with the emotions of a lot more these days.'"
My mate who you know has been through exactly the same Ian. His love is cricket in the summer now and can often be seen at Lords in a Hull shirt, but happy with his kids. He would rather be at the KC but Friday nights, Sky TV and the spin that went with Friday night rugby did for him. He took JR's advice and takes the kids elsewhere at the weekend. He used to enjoy Sunday afternoon with the family at the KC but apparently that's not what families do. He just hopes that things change before he totally loses the emotional pull of the club he loves.
