There are no need for personal attacks, slate the guy for the job he does or doesn't do but don't be nasty, there is no need. Whether it's good enough or not he is doing his best.

I see what your saying but IMO it's irrelevant either way. Whether it's down to lack of ability or lack of effort, he's failing and doesn't deserve to be in the privileged highly paid job that he is in. I don't feel kindly about many people in that kind of position.

He certainly doesn't warrant the position he's in, but I still don't see why that you make you think unkindly of him. He took a job, he's trying his best to do that job, but he's not up to the required standard. The fact that he hasn't been removed from that position is not his fault. I think it's a lot to expect a person to give up a job just because they're struggling when they have a mortgage to pay and a family to feed.

If you were promoted beyond your capabilities could you be 100% sure that you would:

a) realise you were out of your depth, and,

b) give up the job knowing you faced an uncertain future without it?

All fair points again. I do actually think Agar does now realise he's out of his depth but as you say you can't blame him for looking after number one, doesn't mean I have to like it though. ATEOTD I've had 3 years of the team underperforming under him and being frequently perplexed by his bizarre tactical decisions and torrent of excuses, not to mention cringing everytime he appears on tv or radio to represent our club. Given all that, I don't think it's unreasonable that I have some ill feeling towards the bloke, if you and others are able to remain completely objective then fair play to you and I realise that's the only kind of criticism that's going to have any influence on getting him out of his job.

Either way they're still a failure
