Exactly...however that does not mean agents view us as rich so put in over inflated offers, it could mean we may have to pay a price to take into account the different variables. So the reason players do not come is they do not want to, or the price is not right. |

Is it me or does anyone else think that these rumour threads have run their course now and are pretty pointless since it looks like we wont be signing anyone befor the season starts, ther isnt a runour on here for the last five pages possibly even more.

To be fair, he said [icash[/i rich - i.e. they know that we have spare cap space right now and the finance to fill it. This might encourage agents to push the asking price further than usual in the belief that we might pay more than normal given our current circumstances.
I take it you're not suggesting that we should just stump up whatever the player/agent first asks for? |
