I am guessing there is a loop hole exploited by chains such as JJB and Sports direct.

Yeah that's it, seems a bit under-handed IMO.
Not sure how this season will be but our first two seasons were a joke with Kooga in terms of where the shirts were ending up e.g. JJB, SportsDirect, eBay businesses (permanantly!), unreal.
