Booked flights last night - 2 of us Luton to Montpellier, £140 return. Two nights there, drive to Perpignan, match day and night there then drive back with 4 nights on the way. Job's a good 'un

Same here,first one Ill be missing too, fed up of being ripped off by the French.Ive said if I go again I'll stay in spain and drive to game and back in a day,spent as much in a day and a half last year than the previous four in Spain.

I think it depends on what you want out of the game tbh.

Whenever the game is within the summer holidays we will turn it into a 2 week ish holiday for no more than any other holiday abroad costs.

In 2009 we flew EM to Barcelona and hired a car. We then drove up and spent 4 nights in a hotel in Gruissan, 7 nights on a caravan site in Narbonne, then drove back down to Barcelona and spent 2 nights there before flying home. We spent very little on alcohol, buying most of what we drunk from the supermarket which was very cheap and drinking it on the patio next to the caravan. Food was reasonable, not cheap but we expected that and still came home with money. All in all the holiday cost under £3,000 for 4 of us including spending money which isn't too bad I don't think.

We're lucky, we aren't big drinkers and rugby isn't about how much ale we can sup so the match day itself costs us very little.

We always go for the week,spending 5 days in Spain and 2 in France,all booked on line with hire car etc.Last time though I just found the prices in France extortionate,from hotel rooms to beer prices,even got charged 5 euros for a small bottle of beer.
As its only about an hour and halfs drive from numerous Spanish resorts in future I will just stay off the lash and do the trip in a day.

I think it's expected that we'll pay a little bit more. Saying that, i'm not going this year.
