Couple of things with the potential signing of sammut,whilst he will give us options in the halves he isn't the player we need however if its just for this season then fine,but also bit of a loose cannon and not what we want. One thing I don't get the club knew berro was going to be on his way at the end of the season why didn't we make a move for matt diskin to share the hooking role given kath and gary have a foot in both camps. And finally since the end of last season we have lost cusack 80k,hall 40k,burnett 20k,calders 60k,berro 150k that comes to 350k plus radders and dowes on reducded terms yet only sharp 50k westerman 80k coming in a difference of 220k does anybody get the feeling that the fee paid out for westerman is going to be re-couped by spending way below on the salary cap this season?

I never doubted it, I am expecting our pay on players to continue to drop, especially having seen the various stories about it being harder to recruit Australians because of the changes in taxation laws. |

Hull have not denied there is money to spend on the cap, don't forget we also gave some players upgraded contracts. |

It does and he sounds promising, could very well be the player they have in mind as a backup for the hooking role as well. Having not seen him play I cannot comment on whether that is good or not. |
