| A one year loan could be a very good move for all parties - where would Horne play though, FB or utility bench man? He must be a model pro to not have the slightest beef with Tony Smith so i think thats where the opportunity may have arisen. He gets games but still belongs to Wire (Lancs club) and we get a fast improving stand off to plug the gap whilst we shop around for next year. Agar must have somet lined up to let Berro go.
Having said all that - I still think we need a real quality centre, a presence in the 3/4s is badly lacking.
Regarding cover at 9 - i see Washy providing that (in agars eyes) if DH is injured, otherwise dont see why Washy is in the squad.

But if Horne's injuries continue , Mylers support play would compliment Long.

It's the inevitable absence of Long that will be the issue. Myler is a great little support player but he has no craft/creativity or on-the-field-leadership, he often looks shy and embarassed which is not good for a half back who should be bossing the team. We need someone who can create gaps, not a half that will run through them.

Berro to New Zealand Warriors. We're after a back rower, apparently.

"Berrigan's departure leaves a place for another overseas player on Hull's roster and the club is believed to be in the market for a halfback or back-row forward."

Bit of a myth that he doesn't create, he got 12 SL try assists last season not bad for a 19/20 year old at a new club where the guy he plays along side with has been running the show the last 10 years.

| Moore from Batley would be a good back up who has huge potential. came through the Leeds system but got fed up of waiting behind burrow. One of the guys I work with who coached him through the academy set up said he was better player than burrow at the same age and if he had stayed at Leeds he would have probably got his chance.
I dont understand why he has not been picked up by a SL club this year, apparently had a cracking season with batley and got championship young player of year. maybe agar has some aussie lined up !

So its a load of 5hit about Berrigan wanting to be near his mam as he might as well still be here rather than signing for NZ Warriors. It was all about money and nothing else
