Charleston has been sold under compulsory purchase to Hull city council....it is closing up at the end of january ....it is scheduled to be demolished...it has played its part in the hull fc experience for many people over the years....not many places around of that ilk anymore...some people will be gald,others will be sad....personally i have had some fantastic times in the place and will miss it....lots..!!!

I've not heard anything new, but I thought that the regeneration of that area had been put on the backburner for a few years due to funding issues.

I would be gutted if this was true and feel that FC games wouldn't feel the same without a few pre-match pints in Charleston.

If true, I hope Ray and Avril have got a great deal from the Council and they enjoy whatever the future may hold.

Would be a massive shame if it was to happen, always great to get in there before and after games, great atmosphere.

I had my Wedding night "do" in Charlston and it was a crackin' night, peole still talk about it 24 years later.
It will be a sad time when/if it goes

All I can say its we have had so many laughs over the years its untrue but jackie did sniff your kegs when she took the kit across to wash,anyway mate hope u mam and dad put the feet up they deserve it,and do I get stanleys shirt after all he was going to eat me lol,but the best ever although it wasnt in there was the axe getting whipped still cringe just thinking bout it

Great times....met some great mates...had some great laughs...never be another one....legendary days...will shed a few tears when its locked up for the last time..!!!

Had our engagement party in there 30 years ago; also had many a fantastic night in there over the years.

Will always be rememebered for those meetings upstairs when Rovers Chairman and Mr lloyd tried to finish our club. They were inspiring nights, great old place great heritage and I agree Martin that Sundays before Boulevard games in the Charlie were magic!!
