Put it into perspective; would anyone in their right mind want to play rugby in this weather?
I used to hate playing in winter - I hated watching it even more. Also health and safety issues are more prevalent now, most of the fixtures would be at risk as soon as they're announced.
Friendly games are a valuable part of pre season, but there has to be a bit of common sense as well.
