Maybe. He could be a player who went through junior rugby ripping it up or maybe he's a sublime passer of the ball. Until he's put in the centres we won't know. If he isn't a great passer then I'm sure our coaching staff will address that weakness

Anyway, he's currently England's No1 winger. I doubt he'd be in the top 5 cetres so I see no reason to move him just yet

Briscoe doesn't count, and Horne has played a fair few games at FB so it's not that unusual.

I do remember Steve McNamara playing a few games at stand-off in 91/92 and not being at all bad, but it wasn't a one off.

Blacklock at full back for the 2005 CC final, sounded like a horrendous concept, with his lack of defensive skills...but in the end he created a try with a great offload in a tackle, and the rest they say is history.
