The Wakefield planning permission is still not nailed on. There is a large lobby against their development. It is not just going to be a rugby stadium but a large industrial estate/distribution hub that is planned. I guess that if permission is not granted for the industrial site the developers would probably pull out of providing the stadium. At best it is likely to go to a public enquiry which will just delay matters even longer for them and make them the favorites to lose their franchise
