If Dowes IS staying he really needs to up his game next season imo. He's been a good player for FC and has a good injury record but on this (and to some extent last) years performances, his best days are behind him. Been a favourite of mine but I would have said thanks at this point.

Dowes will have to up his game next year, we will still have 2 of the 3 cart horses who granted run hard, but don't offer much else. Hopefully learn how to offload in the off-season.
Even so, another prop would be needed IMO. Along with a young HB, and some cover for the backs/hooker depending on where Berro plays.
What are Marc Herbert and Grant Rovelli like? I believe they're OCC.

I dont think really have a choice with Dowes, there isn't anyone better available, so they might aswell keep Dowes, I hope it is a one year deal though.
As stated many times, our pack isnt really the problem.

My personal belief is that it largely comes down to 3 things for players: Silverware, Coach, Money, and in that order. It would certainly be how I'd prioritise.
The only other factors are when it's the club you've always supported, and the 3 extreme locations now. The rest are commutable if you really want. |
