As I posted in a previous thread, when I hear James Rule spout on in the media about Agar "needing time to get his players and build his team" one name proves that Rule is talking a load of s**t.

My take on Agar.

A solid season without being spectacular. The squad has become stronger and we have improved our position in the league dramtically.

Still work to do but we have a much better platform next season for a year ago.

Far too sensible that statement paul, you didnt mention sacking the coach or slagged any players get a grip man!!

yeh but still not good enough all this nonsence about weve improved on the last 2 seeason ect is rubbish its not that hard to improve on finishing bottom and next to bottom if you dont include the promoted teams. for a team of our size and the money that is spent after winning the challenge cup and finishing 2nd and getting to a grand final we should of progressed and built on that but we dint and now coz weve had a year were weve finished 6th and havent won a playoff game again some people see that as progress and are quite happy with the season

Not sure 12th to 7th is "dramatic". It's still worse than 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

So in other words we do spend cash, just not the way you'd prefer?

We've certainly mismanaged the budget for years IMO, although the three players you mention wouldn't have been on my list of those where we've wasted cash. I thought last season's recruitment was more or less spot on given the need to rebuild the squad and players available.

You can't spend too much cap on a single player in case they get injured or miss a load of games for any other reason. See Bradford for details.

Hang you've been talking about going to Old Trafford for the past 3/4 weeks. Just watch the lads go, they're right up for it you said. What happened to all that brovado? The coach and quite a number of the palyers aren't good enough, fact. Iif you want to bury your head in the sand then that's up to you, the rest of us feel massively let down.

but to some people the future and now of hull fc is important and means alot and just to get over it to some people isnt as simple as that.

Im just saying we could have looked at other options and not just out of contract players.

Paul that's because 12th was an abomination. Finishing 6th and being rolled over at our own gaff by our biggest rivals is nothing to shout about.
