I enjoyed that. A genuinely good gag in Derby week, very well done. Are you a goose by any chance?

| Quote RoversTrace="RoversTrace"This was in the papers after the game, if it was something to motivate his players why would he feel the need to go to the press? So he lied to his players then? Made something up about Rovers players dying their hair to be cocky cos they thought it was their Wembley? Yeah ok then, you keep believing that. This would mean actually giving Agar some credit, which you lot don't seem to do an awful lot of

But surely the point is that FC's team were called in early that day to be presented with a shedload of examples of cocky comments by Rovers aimed at FC and Webster and Agar used these to wind up the players, at a disadvantage without all our marquee players. When there was further evidence with them going through the peroxide hair-ruffling celebration rehearsals and kick-ups in the warm-up, it was like manna from heaven in terms of more motivation. Newton then got thrown on his backside by Yeaman to much hilarity and Rovers lost the game. Why do you think the cameras lingered on the peroxided Newton down on his haunches at the end of the game? Because he looked devastated and a ridiculous tw#t in equal measure at the same time. Just seems a tad bizarre you'd want to pay money to be reminded of the day Agar owned Newton. Particularly when the cash spent by a couple of hundred people spending £8 a go on wigs could be spent on other things that would actually benefit Rovers in these tough economic times, like player sponsorship, for example.

exactly right, it wasnt just the dying of the hair, it was the way they where practicing try celebrations by rubbing there heads, you could even see them looking at each other when after newtons try then they both rubbed each others heads, s, well it all turned sour in the end for them two, she fell over and tommy nailed fox into touch to win the game, hahahahaha

It's the cumulative effect, petal. The cockiness backfired. Newton looked an even bigger tw#t than usual and then rang the HDM himself in an undignified hissyfit. Rovers fans are inexplicably spending hundreds on wigs when the money could be put into Rovers coffers, and no one understands the point of it anyway. Cracking.
